Where do the update forecasts come from?
Apple doesn't publish official end dates. The forecast is based on the historical pattern of roughly six to eight years of major iOS updates — after which the final iOS branch keeps receiving security patches for up to several more years.
What does “security updates only” mean?
The model won't get a new major iOS version, but still receives patches for critical security holes. For safe everyday use, that's the number that matters most.
Should I swap the battery or buy a new iPhone when it slows down?
If your model still gets updates and battery health is below 80%, a battery swap (~€50–70) usually beats spending several hundred euros on a new phone.
Which iPhones support Apple Intelligence?
The AI features run on the iPhone 15 Pro and every iPhone 16 and 17 model. Older models still get iOS 26, but not these features.
